The Good: A friend we met at my cousin's wedding last year, Jay and his friend Carlos swung by Singapore for two days this week and so Thursday and Friday were both hectic but totally fun and a great distraction to all the craziness at work -- more on that in the next point. So this weekend was pretty unusual for me. Friday night, our boss treated the entire team to a round of drinks in the small place across from the office (like literally ACROSS it) and I've gotten to liking gin and tonics after being introduced to it two weeks back. I finally caught the latest episode of Agents of SHIELD and though I really do miss Ward, I'm really liking these episodes so far. I mean of course I'd love to have Ward back, but this isn't too too bad. Plus, we get Lady Sif! Come back, though Ward. ( Agents of SHIELD 2x12 )

First off, thanks to everyone who sent their love and prayers during Typhoon Haiyan. We're thankfully very far from the devastation, and were spared but it's been a pretty crazy couple of weeks and there's so much destruction and strife in the Visayas islands, that things have been turned upside down.
